In the fall of 2013, a nineteen year old Lipscomb University student named Jordan Beale felt the Lord calling her to go to Kenya. Jordan took a semester off to manage a failing orphanage. The Siritanyi Children's Home had been abandoned by almost all supporters, leaving the twenty-one children malnourished and the one staff person exhausted. The skinny kids still had tremendous faith and joy in spite of their dire circumstances. Over Jordan's four month adventure, she had the privilege of getting to really know the children by living with and caring for them, eating what they ate, and sleeping where they slept. Jordan has returned to Nashville to finish her education, but the orphans are still close to her heart. Her dream is to see all of these children finish school and receive at least vocational training. Five Plus Two Ministrie's was started to financially sustain the lives of these children and to help them thrive physically, emotionally, and spiritually so they can do all that God has planned for them.
